AUGUST IS DENTAL MONTH

Save $ off Dentistry - August only

If your pet's breath can:

  • Clear a room…
  • Smell worse than your teenager's sports bag…
  • Make you think twice about cuddles…

…it probably isn't "just dog breath."

Dental disease is one of the most common health problems we see in dogs and cats. The tricky part? They rarely complain. Instead, they quietly live with painful teeth, infected gums and bacteria that can affect their whole body.

That's why August is Dental Month at Albury Animal Hospital!

Our August Offers

Stage 1 - Scale, Polish & Dental X-rays — Save $50
  • Professional dental cleaning
  • Full mouth dental X-rays
  • Dental charting
  • Intraoral photographs

Stage 2 - Dental Treatment — Save $150
If extractions or further treatment are needed, you'll receive $150 off when treatment is completed within 4 weeks of Stage 1.

Why do we include dental X-rays?
Around 60% of a tooth sits below the gumline, so many painful problems simply can't be seen by looking in the mouth. Dental X-rays allow us to diagnose disease properly and treat it before it becomes even more painful.

Booking Information
  • Pets must have been seen by an Albury Animal Hospital veterinarian within the last 6 months.
  • New patients will require a general health consultation before booking.
  • August appointments are limited.

Your pet deserves a healthy mouth… and you deserve cuddles that don't smell like something died behind the couch!

FREE HEARTWORM TESTING THROUGHOUT AUGUST

Did you know that heartworm disease can be life-threatening, yet it's almost completely preventable?

This August, Albury Animal Hospital has partnered with Virbac to help protect more local dogs.

If your dog is not currently on heartworm prevention, you could be eligible for a FREE heartworm test (valued at $88) when your dog starts on Afilaria® annual heartworm protection.

  • One simple injection
  • 12 months of heartworm protection
  • No monthly tablets to remember
  • Peace of mind all year round

How it works:
  • Book your dog's FREE heartworm test.
  • If the test is negative, get your pets annual Heartworm injection.
  • Your dog is protected against heartworm for the next 12 months.

Heartworm is spread by mosquitoes and, unfortunately, infected dogs often show no signs until the disease is advanced. Prevention is far safer, easier, and much less expensive than treatment.

Available throughout August only.

Call (02) 6040 6995 to book your dog's appointment or send us a message.

Protect today for a healthier tomorrow. Your pet, our passion.

Important:
  • This promotion is available for dogs not currently on any heartworm prevention who commence Afilaria® following a negative test.
  • If a heartworm test is required for another reason (for example, before starting another prevention product), the standard heartworm testing fee applies.

THE ALBURY ANIMAL HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE

When you come through our doors at Albury Animal Hospital, we want you to feel welcomed and supported by our team. Our job is to look after you, just as much as we look after your pets. Behind our doors your pet will have a whole team in their support corner, with the ability to provide a full range of veterinary services.

Dr Jana's Pet Hub becomes Albury Animal Hospital

Dr Jana 's Pet Hub is a familiar name around the border, as Dr Jana 's has been around for many years. When we opened Dr Sally and Dr Jana worked together to establish the hospital, with shared values. They wanted to create a hospital that looked after owners, as well as focusing on looking after their pets. We provide a holistic approach to patient care, and really listen to owners ' concerns, ensuring we make decisions together for your pets, taking into consideration a number of different aspects of pet ownership.

In 2023 we re-evaluated where we wanted our hospital to go in the future and we rebranded to become Albury Animal hospital, after Dr Sally purchased the business in 2022. Our management team remain the same, and Dr Jana is still a valued member of our veterinary team.

Dr Jana and Dr Sally sat down to have a chat about their journey from Dr Jana 's Pet Hub to Albury Animal hospital.

WHY US

Personal service

We want to take the time to get to know you and your pet on a more personal level! We believe in continuity, encouraging you to continue to see one of our vets that you feel most comfortable with. We've found that cats and dogs are more relaxed being cared for by the same vet each visit. Knowing you and your pet well makes it easier for us to give you great service!

Minimal waiting times

We pride ourselves on being punctual and running on time to the best of our ability, but as we all know, emergencies can happen. If we are running late, we will always communicate any delays and, if necessary, we will get in touch to re-schedule your appointment to prevent unnecessary delays.

Sick pet? We will never turn you away.

We are a hospital, not a clinic. Although we have booked appointments, we will always see pets based on urgency. Even if we are fully booked, if your pet is sick, we will ask you to bring your pet to the hospital and our nursing team will triage your pet, just like at a human hospital! Every pet seen under our nurse triage is communicated to a veterinarian, and the vet will decide on how best to look after your pet. If your pet is sick, we will rearrange the schedule so we can look after them.

Expertise

To be able to deliver exceptional service, we ensure all our team members are highly trained and knowledgeable. You can be assured that when you speak to us, you will receive the latest and correct recommendations. Our team members regularly engage in continuing professional development.

DEDICATED CAT HOSPITAL (ISFM)

In 2021 our hospital achieved GOLD ISFM (International Standard for Feline Medicine) accreditation for our dedicated cat hospital. This is feline segregation away from dogs throughout the hospital. We felt this was important to being able to offer a low stress environment for cats while they are in the hospital, be it for consultations or hospitalisation.

We see the benefits of this throughout the hospital, with cats being more relaxed, less reactive and studies have shown that a low stress environment means their bodies even heal better when they are in hospital!
