When you come through our doors at Albury Animal Hospital, we want you to feel welcomed and supported by our team. Our job is to look after you, just as much as we look after your pets. Behind our doors your pet will have a whole team in their support corner, with the ability to provide a full range of veterinary services.
Dr Jana 's Pet Hub is a familiar name around the border, as Dr Jana 's has been around for many years. When we opened Dr Sally and Dr Jana worked together to establish the hospital, with shared values. They wanted to create a hospital that looked after owners, as well as focusing on looking after their pets. We provide a holistic approach to patient care, and really listen to owners ' concerns, ensuring we make decisions together for your pets, taking into consideration a number of different aspects of pet ownership.
In 2023 we re-evaluated where we wanted our hospital to go in the future and we rebranded to become Albury Animal hospital, after Dr Sally purchased the business in 2022. Our management team remain the same, and Dr Jana is still a valued member of our veterinary team.
Dr Jana and Dr Sally sat down to have a chat about their journey from Dr Jana 's Pet Hub to Albury Animal hospital.
Our hospital is modern, and well equipped. We offer:
Personal service
We want to take the time to get to know you and your pet on a more personal level! We believe in continuity, encouraging you to continue to see one of our vets that you feel most comfortable with. We've found that cats and dogs are more relaxed being cared for by the same vet each visit. Knowing you and your pet well makes it easier for us to give you great service!
Minimal waiting times
We pride ourselves on being punctual and running on time to the best of our ability, but as we all know, emergencies can happen. If we are running later, we will always communicate any delays and, if necessary, we will get in touch to re-schedule your appointment to prevent unnecessary delays for you.
Sick pet? We will never turn you away.
We are a hospital, not a clinic. Although we have booked appointments, we will always see pets based on urgency. Even if we are fully booked, if your pet is sick, we will ask you to bring your pet to the hospital and our nursing team will triage your pet, just like at a human hospital! Every pet seen under our nurse triage is communicated to a veterinarian, and the vet will decide on how best to look after your pet. If your pet is sick, we will rearrange the schedule so we can look after them.
Expertise
To be able to deliver exceptional service, we ensure all our team members are highly trained and knowledgeable. You can be assured that when you speak to us, you will receive the latest and correct recommendations. Our team members regularly engage in continuing professional development.
In 2021 our hospital achieved GOLD ISFM (International Standard for Feline Medicine) accreditation for our dedicated cat hospital. This is feline segregation away from dogs throughout the hospital. We felt this was important to being able to offer a low stress environment for cats while they are in the hospital, be it for consultations or hospitalisation.
We see the benefits of this throughout the hospital, with cats being more relaxed, less reactive and studies have shown that a low stress environment means their bodies even heal better when they are in hospital!
