Payment, Finance & Financial Information

Albury Animal Hospital aims to provide clear information about treatment costs and payment expectations. Full payment is required when veterinary services are provided, with hospital accounts paid in full before your pet is discharged. We accept cash and major credit and debit cards, excluding American Express.

Third-party Buy Now, Pay Later options are available through VetPay and ZipPay for eligible clients. These arrangements must be confirmed before treatment or services are accepted, and clients must provide the required pre-authorisation. A $35 administration fee applies per BNPL transaction. Albury Animal Hospital does not offer in-house payment plans.

Where treatment is required, our team will provide an estimate based on the information available at the time. Actual costs may change depending on your pet’s condition, treatment requirements, or unexpected complications. For pets admitted to hospital, a deposit equal to 50% of the higher end of the estimate is required at admission. Hospitalised patients also require progress payments every 24 hours, with the remaining balance paid before discharge.

Albury Animal Hospital can facilitate eligible GapOnly pet insurance claims. Clients using insurers outside the GapOnly system, or submitting their own e-claims, remain responsible for payment directly to the hospital and for lodging their insurance claim. A $35 administration fee applies where our team is required to complete documentation for an external claim. For planned procedures, clients are encouraged to confirm their insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorisation before treatment.

Cancellation fees also apply. A $50 fee is charged for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time, and a $100 fee applies to missed or cancelled surgery bookings. These fees must be paid before a new appointment or surgery can be booked.
Eligible refunds for overpayments or cancellations are processed within seven business days. If you have questions about treatment estimates, deposits, payment options, insurance, or financial requirements, please contact our team before your pet’s treatment wherever possible.
